New Jersey Lacrosse Training Mission
Our mission at New Jersey Lacrosse Training is to improve the overall level of lacrosse in New Jersey by exposing student athletes to coaches who have excelled both on and off the field in their lacrosse careers. Not only are our coaches exceptional players but they also are selected for their ability to instruct their lacrosse IQ onto the players we train. Players who train with NJLT often develop a strong relationship with their coaches and we ensure our staff is selected for their ability to be positive role models for the young student athletes.
We believe no matter how advanced the player is that core fundamentals can be improved in every player. Our lessons challenge players weaknesses by introducing and practicing new techniques in every session. Just as educational lessons are taught in school, training sessions with our staff are designed to challenge the player without breaking their confidence and support their needs when challenges arise. After every training session our players leave with 1-2 hours of homework to practice between sessions. By completing their homework, our coaches can focus on introducing new skills through the next lesson rather than reteach the skill that was taught in prior lessons.
Many years of experience back our coaching strategy, lesson planning, and delivery. After all the lessons that have been done, not a single player has a ever left a lesson feeling like they did not benefit from training with our NJLT staff.
Bridge the Gap
We strive to Bridge The Gap found in the lacrosse world that developed due to the rapid expansion of the game and the lack of experienced coaches. Many youth lacrosse coaches and a handful of high school coaches have never played lacrosse a day in their lives. While we recognize their courageous efforts to step in to command a team with little knowledge of the sport, it does not provide the player with the proper instruction required to take that next step in their lacrosse career.
